First Snow!

On Saturday, it snowed ALL day. I LOVE the FIRST snowfall of the year! The kids had a ton of fun playing with the neighbors, throwing snowballs, and making a cute little snowman. While the kids had fun playing in the snow, the parents set up our "Elmhurst" Christmas tree. Last year when we moved to Elmhurst we were perplexed by all the lighted Christmas trees in peoples' yards. Come to find out, it is a tradition to put a stake in the ground, tie a Christmas tree around it, decorate it, and turn it on every evening for the city to enjoy:) We think it is a pretty fun and festive tradition so this year, we joined in
