Adoption Update

Most of you know, the Henry's moved…AGAIN!  A couple of weeks ago, we bought our first house in the western suburbs of Chicago.  For years, we have been looking at houses in the town we lived in, Elmhurst.  A couple months ago we decided to start checking on houses in the surrounding suburbs to see what was out there.  Well, we found it!  We found the house that we had been praying for for over four years.  It is all that we ever dreamt for our family!  We are so grateful to God for blessing us in so many ways and are very thankful for our new home.

With moving, comes some changes for the adoption process.  We knew going into it that it wouldn't be that big of a deal to move during this process but didn't know exactly all that it would entail.  There is some paperwork that needs to be updated but other than that, we should be good to go.  While talking to our agency about the move, we were also able to talk to them about where we were on the wait list.  Because of our specific preference with gender and age…we were a little further along than we thought!  To our surprise, our agency told us that we are most likely number 6 or 7 on the list now!  Our jaws dropped when we heard this.  There are so many changes going on our lives right now but, that is the way the Henry's roll!  We thrive in the midst of change.  Our family is very excited at the possibility of learning who our sweet new brother will be within the next couple of months.  We continue to pray for him and wait anxiously for that day.  Until then, the kids have already wrapped gifts for him, put up a chalk board for him, and even named him:)
We are grateful to God for calling us to adopt and graciously providing all that we have needed to do so.
To Him be the Glory!
