A Memorable Night!!

Our hearts are filled with joy and the Henry Family is so happy to announce that we received our referral this past weekend!

This is the beautiful story…

This past Saturday night we went with our friends, the Riegers, to our adoption agency's fundraising gala.  We had planned on doing this for quite some time and were very excited to get the chance to meet those working so hard on our process thus far and to get to know the wonderful agency that we are working with.  Our agency is in Michigan so it was a days trip there and a lot of fun in the car with two great friends.  During the car ride, Jodi expressed to me that we needed to get there early so that she could see her caseworker (who happens to be our's as well:) to get some papers signed and so that we could meet this special woman, Sally.  We got there early, went downstairs where we were suppose to meet Sally, and waited for her to meet us there.  AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED NEXT...  Sally came down the stairs, we introduced ourselves and she proceeded to tell us that she had a surprise for us.  WHAT COULD THAT POSSIBLY BE?  Sally picked up a roll of papers held together by a blue ribbon, untied it and inside was the most precious little boy that you have ever seen!!!  We were speechless, we broke out in a huge sweats, our hearts dropped to the floor, and we were filled with an overwhelming sense of emotion.  God rocked our world that night.  We got to see our son for the first time and we fell in love!  Sally told us that she never gets to share such incredible news in person…what a privilege it was to be that couple.  Well, the rest of the night was just as amazing.  Adoption Associates is an incredible agency that God has blessed and continues to bless.  There are so many beautiful stories of God joining families together forever!  We thank God everyday for calling us to adopt and for leading us thus far.  We can't believe that we are a HUGE step closer to meeting our precious little boy.  Thank you Brent and Jodi Rieger for making this happen and for spending such a memorable night with us, thank you to AAI for working with us in such a personal way, and thank you Jesus for giving us our SON!
