Visit to Elkin

It has been a LONG time coming that's for sure.  It seems as if spring break was months and months ago.  But as life gets more hectic, I am finding it harder and harder to keep up with the blog.  But, I am committed!  Thanks Mel for putting the collages together of our awesome time in Elkin!

I am so glad that I decided to throw the four kids in the car at 3:00 in the morning and head to North Carolina for spring break.  We had such a great time and I loved getting to see Elkin!  John and Melissa live in a beautiful little town and I hope that we can get back there before they leave to move back to Georgia.

The highlight of the trip was learning how to "Geocach."  The kids absolutely loved it.  Aliyana enjoyed it so much that all she wanted to do on her 9th birthday was to take her friends "geocaching!"

Lots of hiking, going to the park, and playing in the North Carolina woods!

This was one of our gorgeous hikes!

Kai Tensa was quite the pistol at times down there but, we still loved every minute of it!

Morning cuddles

Oh how I love "cousin time!"

Melissa has wonderful neighbors!  One of their daughters, Anna Belle, hung out with us a lot and boy did Ali LOVE that!

Trampoline fun!

A fun Easter egg hunt for the kiddos

Anna Belle and Ali

Tons of fun in the basement boxes and CRAZY mealtimes:)

Thanks Mel and John for a wonderful week.  John...you are a trooper for putting up with us for that long!  We love you guys!
