Last Wednesday night Mom texted and said that she and Rylee were going to come up for the weekend! We have been wanting to do it for a while but it just hasn't worked out. But, Ry was determined to get up here this winter and Pop Pop and Mimi made it happen!
We surprised Ali and Canyon and said that the mail guy had a package for us that we had to pick up from the airport:) Boy did they love it when Mimi and Rylee got off the escalator!
Ali claims she "knew it, just knew it!"
Picked the gals up from the airport and headed to 2Toots for some yummy food brought to us by the train!
We decided that we were going to head out on our girls weekend Saturday morning so the kids had some time to play here at the house…this is what they came up with:) A full-service day care!
Girls woke up bright and early and we left the house before 7 for Wilmont Mountain!
First stop, the TUBING hill! The girls LOVED it…we FLEW down that moutain…what a HOOT!!!
Mom signed the girls up for ski-school! I couldn't believe all the memories that came flooding back…my girl was learning how to ski!
The girls LOVED skiing and did such a GREAT job!
After a day of fun, we headed to Lake Geneva to stay the night at the Cove…Room service, the swimming pool, exploring the town at night, ice cream, and a BIG sleepover!
I was so happy Ry got to see the piles of snow! She loved it!
Really??? A dip in the pool at 7:30 in the morning…only on girls weekend!
On Sunday the girls wanted to head to the slopes again! Our goal was to get them independent enough to go up the bunny slope rope by themselves so Mom and I didn't have to do the hard work for them:) We decided that getting private lessons would be best this time around. Mr. Michael was a great teacher and the girls were able to go up the bunny hill at the end of the lesson! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Can't believe that they learned to ski! We were so proud of them!
After the girls skied for the day, we headed home to join the boys for the evening before they flew out the next day. The four of us had a great time and it was so special to have the girls all by themselves. What great memories! Mimi thinks we should make this a yearly tradition and I say….YES!!!
Thanks Pop Pop and Mimi for making the weekend possible! We love you!
