Springtime in Florida!

Florida, Florida, and MORE Florida!  The kids and I headed down to the Munz Compound for two weeks over Aliyana's spring break and Easter.  Mel and her gang met us down there but unfortunately Mare and the girls could not join.  We missed them so much and can't wait till Anna and Kate can join the chaos!

There is never a trip that goes by that we don't leave with hundreds of pictures.  We love taking pictures and capturing EVERY moment of our time together. 40 collages is a ton but be thankful we didn't post all that we could have:)

Enjoy!

In the beginning of our trip the water was pretty cold and all the kids were hesitant to get in but by the end, everyone was swimming like fish!

We love pushing pops in the pool!

The blow-up slide rocks!

Andrew and Canyon did a great job swimming with and WITHOUT their floaties…so proud!

We played outside ALL day long!  The kids love being at Mimi and Pop Pop's because they go from one activity to the next without stopping!

Roaming the groves...

Chillin with the cousins...

Climbing around in Jo Jo's old cage...

Threatening the streets with the gator and mustang...

Loving the go-cart...

Feeding donkeys, going on golf cart rides, enjoying Knaus Berry Farm milkshakes...

Visiting Pop Pop's equipment yard...

The boys all love the machines but I think Jacob is OBSESSED:)  I have never seen a little guy so passionate about something.  He knows the names of all of them too! Employment at the Redland Company is definitely in his future.

The kids LOVED catching lizards.  The highlight was watching the lizard attach itself to my ear:)

As always, dance parties are a nightly event!

ABSOLUTE CHAOS!!

Pop Pop's campfire and s'more making

Jacob's Aquatic in the Keys!

Grace Fox is a family friend of ours and is like a sister to us!  Melissa and Grace have been best friends since they were little girls.  We were blessed to get to be with her and her two beautiful children for a day while we were down.  Taylor is her precious little girl and Blake is her handsome little man that was born just about 7 weeks ago.  Thanks for coming to visit Grace, we LOVE you!

Gotta hit up Burr's Berry Farm for strawberries and ice cream too!!

This women is incredible!  Grandma Munz turns 90 April 22nd and we had to celebrate while we were down!  Unfortunately, we couldn't make it to her big bash this past weekend but were able to spend some sweet time with her while we were down this past trip.  Gram is such a blessing in our lives and an amazing women.  Happy birthday Grammy!  We love you and hope that you had a very special 90th birthday!

Peanut Butter...her favorite!!

You know you live on a compound when part of your day is spent giving BB gun lessons:)

This picture cracks me up!  Jake (all the way to the right) looks like he's being forced into this nonsense!

Our park adventure…fully covered park in Florida, GREAT IDEA!

Swimming in the pond was a new thing this trip.  They loved it!

Growing up in south Florida and I had never been to the Alligator Farm.  This trip we decided to take the crew and we were glad we did!  So many sights to see and so many wild animals to hold!  GREAT DAY!

Easter Eve we had an egg stuffing party at Grandma's house!  It was so great to see so much family and spend such a special holiday together.

Easter baskets for the kids...and the two that we sent sweet Anna and Kate.

We started off our Easter celebration with an Easter story.  The kids seemed to grasp the true meaning of Easter this year.  It is the sweetest thing to hear them tell what happened on Good Friday and Easter.
"He is not here; he has risen, just as he said."  Matthew 28:6.

Then we opened Easter baskets, worshipped at Pop Pop and Mimi's church together, and headed to Grandma's house for an egg hunt.

Easter pics of the fam

The Lovely Batusic Crew!

One of our "projects" while we were down was to make Easter handprint canvases for mom and Grandma Jerri.  The kids loved making this and delivering it to them.  It meant a lot.

The BIG egg hunt

When we were growing up, Grandma Munz would have a big egg hunt in her backyard for the grandkids Easter morning.  This Easter Gram wanted to do it for the Great Grandkids:) The Munz family is hardly ever together for the Easter holiday and it was such a BLESSING to be together and to carry on the tradition this year!

The gang!  Minus Allie, Brycen, Anna, and Kate of course.   And Grandma Munz and about half of her great-grandbabies!

All of the grandkids and great-grandkids who were present.

More of our beautiful family :)

A HIGHLIGHT of the trip…getting to see our amazing extended family while we were down.  Such a blessing to have such a wonderful family!

Another of Mel and I's "projects" while we were down was to make this family birthdays plaque for Gram for her birthday.  She loved it.
And there's Grandma Jerri with about half of her great-grandbabies!!

Last day…what do you say we hop aboard N208MQ and catch a ride to Homestead Airport:)

Once again, thank you Mom and Dad for a beautiful time together!  If we could we would have stayed for longer (although I know you all were secretly happy to see the chaos leave:).  We are so thankful the gift of our family and cherish every moment together!

Mare, Phil, Anna and Kate, we missed you TERRIBLY!  We love you guys and are praying for you without ceasing!
