Morton Arboretum

Last Friday we went to the Morton Arboretum for the first time!  The Morton Arboretum is like a botanical gardens but with a variety of different landscapes with plants, trees, and shrubs from around the world.  In the Arboretum there is a children's garden.  One of the highlights in the garden at this time of year is the tadpole pond.  In the pond the kids can observe, touch, and catch the little swimmers (and if you are Canyon Henry…you can even swim with them.  I think he thought he was at Mimi and Pop Pop's:).  Sarah and I took the kids after nap one day and the kids LOVED it!

Ready to catch some tadpoles mom!

Poor Cora wasn't allowed to get down much at the tadpole pond…not a great place for a one year old:)

 So proud of his catch!

 Ava was so brave!

King would NOT let go of this little guy!  Poor little tadpole died in King's arms because he refused to put him back…sorry little buddy!

 Really CJ?

 "I love this place!"
