As most of you know, the Collier Gang has been on quite the journey the past 6 months! A while back, we found out that Anna and Kate were Neutropenic. This meant that some of their white blood cell counts were very low leaving them unable to fight bacterial infections. For the past couple of months we have been waiting for the doctors to tell us if the twins condition was a temporary one that they would eventually grow out of or if it was a condition that they would have the rest of their lives. I am overjoyed at the news that we recently received! At their last hematologist appointment, MaryAnne and Phil found out that the girls condition is in fact a temporary one and within a year or a year and a half the girls should outgrow it! Thanks be to our Heavenly Father for sustaining this precious family during this time and for the incredible news that we received!
Watching the Colliers go through such a time as this was challenging! My heart hurt for them and being so far away made it even harder. But I want to thank Phil and MaryAnne for being incredible examples to us all! Your faith and steadfast trust in the Lord brought us all strength, confidence and peace. We love you guys and those sweet baby girls!
Anna and Kate, you are precious gifts and we are thankful that we get to see you really soon. Your cousins are so anxious to meet you! We are praying that everyone stays healthy so that we get to spend lots and lots of time with you in Florida. You are getting so big and strong! You girls are beautiful and we love you very much!
