The Henry family is proud to announce that we will soon be expanding our family! No, I am no pregnant nor plan to be pregnant:) As most of you know, Jud and I have had a heart for adoption for years! I knew a long time ago that one day our family would adopt. I never knew when it would be and how it would look like exactly but, I knew in my heart of hearts that the Lord had designed our family for such a precious calling. After years of prayer and three amazing children of our own, the Henry's have begun the journey towards adopting our next child! If you would have asked us years ago what adoption looked like to us we would have said that we planned on adopting an infant domestically. Throughout the years, I have seen God work in amazing ways to open our hearts and show us that this may not be what adoption will look like for our family. In the past years, months, and weeks, God has lead us to the agency we will be using, the continent that we will be adopting from, and the exact country in which our next little one will be born out of! We are filled with excitement and joy knowing that God has chosen us to be a part of such a high calling. I plan to journal along this process and share with you all both the joys and struggles we face as a family.
We are now in the beginning stages and have completed the formal application to adopt internationally from the country of Ethiopia. We are using a Christian agency out of Michigan called, Adoptions Associates. Our home study process is under way and we have our first interview this coming Monday!
Please join with us in prayer as we walk this unknown road ahead. We know that God is going to do incredible things and we expect miracles to be seen! Our precious child has been and will be in the hands of God this entire journey and we trust, with all of our hearts, that He will lead us every step of the way.

Bless God sweet friend! We have been so very blessed with adoptions. Adoption associates is wonderful! If you are ever in the area and need a bathroom break and a snack. . . We are on the way to Jenison. Love love love it! We are so excited to follow your journey. Remember, the paperwork may seem daunting, but it is all doable. Very doable.
