This past weekend we traveled to Weliso, the town where Tinsae was born. We were able to visit his first orphanage and meet his birth mom. The time with his mom was filled with emotions but was a beautiful meeting and a time I will cherish forever! I am very grateful that we got to meet her. She is a beautiful woman inside and out and loves Tinsae with all her heart. We were able to video tape the time that we spent with her and I look forward to the day that we can share it with our son. My heart breaks knowing that if she had the means, she would love nothing more than to raise her son. The reality of her situation takes my breath away. We love Deme dearly and will continue to pray that God will provide for her and that one day we will meet again!

After we visited the orphanage, we spent the night in a beautiful lodge tucked away in a rainforest. It was
BEAUTIFUL but it is hard to believe that this lodge is within five minutes of the poverty stricken town of Weliso!
Yes, we saw monkeys…LOTS of them. So cool!
